Braves turn narrow wins into real leverage

Colorado’s defense adds another pressure point behind a contact-oriented starter. If Sugano fails to finish at-bats cleanly, Atlanta can build innings without needing a parade of home runs.
This is not a bet on the Braves suddenly becoming an offensive avalanche. It is a bet on starter separation, defensive reliability and a refreshed bullpen holding—or extending—a lead rather than leaking it away late.
Atlanta’s main risks are an emotional dip after the Dodgers sweep and Holmes losing some rhythm on extra rest. Colorado can also stack left-handed and switch-hitting bats, so Holmes must keep his secondary pitches below the barrel.
