Prognósticos para Deniz Dilek — Berfu Cengiz

The ranking gap is a poor guide to Dilek’s hard-court level: she is 17-3 on the surface this season and beat top seed Solana Sierra 6-3, 6-3. She has also come back from a set down in each of her last two rounds, at home in Ankara, at the academy where she trained.

Cengiz has advanced more economically, beating seeded Martyna Kubka and Han Shi in straight sets, but her recent losses came on clay and her W100 final slipped away after she won the opening set. Dilek’s win over the top seed is the strongest single result either brings this week.

Dilek +2.5 games is the measured way to back that edge. At 2.07, it covers a win and leaves room for a close defeat; Cengiz’s drop shots and changes of pace, plus Dilek’s nearly three-hour quarterfinal and eight double faults, make the outright too exposed to fatigue. I pass on the total: a long three-set match and a quick straight-sets finish are both plausible, and 21.5 is sensibly placed.
